An easy to use wedding checklist to keep you on track!
You will make things easier on yourself and lessen the stress if you have a wedding checklist to use. If anything, it will help you keep track of things to be thinking of.
You should consider completing the following tasks very early, up to a year in advance:
• Create your budget • Choose a color scheme • Pick out your gown and accessories, and purchase within 6 months of your wedding • Figure out your guest list • Select your bridal party participants • Hire your vendors (Caterer, DJ or Band, Florist, Photographer) • Secure your venue for both wedding ceremony and reception • Register at a wedding registry • Order your rings when there is about 4 to 6 months before the wedding
Within about 4 months before the wedding:
• Have mothers select what they will be wearing • Shop for bridesmaids dresses and shoes • Order invitations • Finalize your guest list • Finalize any receptions tasks • Order your cake • Confirm the date and time with all your vendors • Confirm your honeymoon arrangements • Confirm your dress delivery and any of your accessories • Order any formal attire needed for the groomsmen
Within about 2 months before the wedding:
• Obtain your marriage license • Schedule appointments for your hair, nails and any spa treatments • Plan your rehearsal dinner • Mail your invitations • Make your appointment for your marriage license
Within the last few weeks before the wedding:
• Purchase your bridal party gifts • Schedule any final fittings • Obtain any items needed for your ceremony (candles, wedding pillow the ring bearer) • Obtain your marriage license • Determine any seating arrangements for the receptions • Provide final headcount to your caterer and reception hall contact • Double check with all your vendors that they are all set.
With everything checked off your wedding checklist as complete, get ready to sit back and joy the pampering right before your wedding and have fun!
Tips:
• Don’t try to do everything yourself…that is what your fiancé and
wedding attendants
are for. • Add any special tasks to your list that you don’t want to forget to do. • Check off things as you accomplish them and admire your accomplishments instead of freaking out about everything you still need to do.
Tidbit: Everyone can use a little organized chaos in their life!
